in this laptop,should i go for processor upgrade or memory upgrade?..and a few more questions?
i am planning to buy a new laptop
i am choosing intel core duo 1.66Ghz @ 667MHz FSB and 1024(2X512MB) DDR2 SDRAM
1.Should i consider changing the configuration of processor to 1.86 or memory from some lower FSB to 667MHz FSB?
2.is upgrading from internal 24X Max DVD/CD-RW Combo drive to Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities worth investing some $35 more? and what is the difference between the two?
3.Can i connect to my friend’s laptop through bluetooth…
or can i do it with intel pro wireless card?
Processor T2300 Core Duo and 2×512MB DDR2 (533MHz like Dell suggest, Dell don’t have an upgrade to 667MHz Rams) is ok. The only upgrade i would suggest is the 8x DVD +/-RW, the Combo Drive can’t burn DVDs.
You can connect to a another comp via bluetooth or even better with the wireless card, if your friend has a wireless router.
